Online File Explorer
Online File Explorer is a web platform for exchanging documents within an organization. The user can upload, store and retrieve data files related to a certain project. It works similar to a file manager for groups.
The files are structured in folders and user access is defined for better security purposes. Joint files can be used and you can have collaboration with your partners in OFE.
Data files may be of any format type. Correct icons are displayed according to the MIME Type.
The application is structured in five functional areas (tabs) and their functions are defined through the screen shots below:

Outstanding features of Online File Explorer:
Reminder List: This is the tab shown to the user after log in. It shows all files that the user has not downloaded as yet. The user can cross out a reminder line. That means that the specific file will not be shown on the reminder list anymore. However, in other areas like the file manager, the file will be displayed normally.
File Manager: This is the core of the application. It is the file storage for each project and contains the project room selector. When switching to a different project room, all the data is refreshed. The selector shows only the projects that the user is assigned to. So, the user can switch to and from projects without a new login. The area shows the structure of the storage space with its folders and hierarchy. The user sees only folders that he can write or read access (others not visible). Folders with read-only permission are grayed out/transparent.
Users: This is used for editing user data. The customer can create as many user accounts as he wants. Each user can be assigned to multiple projects with different roles and rights. The screen shows all the users in list form. A user will only see other users with whom he shares right permission folders. Other users will not be shown.
Project Activities: This is the log functionality for all file operations. The user will see only such entries that are in line with his rights/privileges (e.g. a user cannot see activities in projects he is not assigned to or in folders that he has no rights for).
